The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldarisio missing with a left hand there. Gotch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gotch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gotch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Aldarisio has his foot on Gotch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gotch works his way back into a safe position though.

Gotch cracks Aldarisio with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Gotch closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aldarisio quickly recovers to half guard.
