The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lashley circles away.
Lashley tries to land a front kick but Wayne steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wayne takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
