And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Frank Brown!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Brown shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brown was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Siuta (0) vs (4) Brown
Siuta is looking to reverse the position.
Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Siuta tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brown wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Siuta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Siuta has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Siuta is looking for a sweep.

Brown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brown is working to tighten his grip on Siuta's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Siuta has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Brown is really squeezing tight and eventually Siuta passes out! Brown breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
