Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Akinfeev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Deupreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akinfeev comes to the cage accompanied by 50 - Psycho. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akinfeev slips a jab and a cross from Deupreaux.

Akinfeev looks to land a combination but Deupreaux avoids it well.
Akinfeev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jacques Deupreaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Deupreaux gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Deupreaux is trying to break the clinch but Akinfeev has him pressed against the cage.

Akinfeev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Deupreaux misses the jab.
Deupreaux throws a hook to the side of Akinfeev's head but Akinfeev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Akinfeev shoots in looking for a takedown. Deupreaux tries to sprawl out of it but Akinfeev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deupreaux manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Deupreaux loads up on a big right hand but Akinfeev slips the punch.

Deupreaux throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Deupreaux works over Akinfeev's head and body with a nice combination.
Deupreaux steps into range and cracks Akinfeev with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Akinfeev flops backwards and Deupreaux dives into his guard looking to finish!

Roman Akinfeev's cut is getting worse.

Deupreaux stands up over Akinfeev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Deupreaux throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Deupreaux tries to stand but Akinfeev is controlling from the bottom.
Akinfeev has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Deupreaux has passed into side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Deupreaux ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Akinfeev is breathing heavily.

Akinfeev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deupreaux.

Jacques Deupreaux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Akinfeev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Deupreaux swivels and escapes.
Deupreaux connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Akinfeev's hands.

Roman Akinfeev's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Deupreaux throws a hook to the side of Akinfeev's head but Akinfeev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Deupreaux drops his shoulder and cracks Akinfeev with a huge uppercut! Akinfeev goes down! Can Deupreaux finish him?
