And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Herwin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Herwin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Herwin misses with the head strike.
Herwin misses with a punch on the inside.
Gentry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Herwin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gentrys head.
Herwin misses with a short punch on the inside.

Gentry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Herwin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gentry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gentry goes for a takedown attempt but Herwin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Josh Herwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giles Gentry.

Gentry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Herwin's waist but Herwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gentry off to one side.
Herwin clinches but Gentry breaks the clinch

and Gentry counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gentry looks gassed!

Herwin kicks Gentry off and gets back to his feet.
Herwin tries to clinch but Gentry is having none of it.

Gentry is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Herwin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Gentry looking for a takedown.
Herwin creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gentry with a big uppercut! Gentry tries to clinch up but Herwin pushes him back against the cage and lands another moster strike that crumples Gentry to the mat! Gentry covers up and Herwin unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
