Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Payton Waller (ranked 4011 p4p, 4204 weight class) and Thomas Troon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troon closes the distance and clinches.
Troon tries to score a body lock takedown but Waller shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Troon is trying to push Waller away but Waller has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Waller changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Troon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Troon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Waller circles away.

Troon gets in close and instigates a clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Troon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waller is working for takedown but Troon is calmly controlling the position for now.
Troon is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Waller wants to take the fight to the mat but Troon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Payton Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Troon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Troon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Troon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Troon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Waller's head.

Waller is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Troon has his hands clasped together but Waller extends and breaks Troon's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Waller.
