PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Balrog (ranked 4164 p4p, 4281 weight class) and Aryan Deshpande (ranked 407 p4p, 421 weight class). Deshpande has chosen Ready to Kill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balrog shoots in and bounces Deshpande off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Deshpande is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Balrog drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Balrog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Deshpande really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balrog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Balrog is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Deshpande doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Balrog.

Balrog uses his free foot to push down on Deshpande's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Deshpande.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Deshpande looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Balrog! Submission of the night perhaps?
