Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Lee!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Duke sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
James Duke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Lee.
Lee takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Duke throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nathan Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck for Lee with that takedown attempt.
Duke throws a shot to the body.
Duke stuns Lee with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lee looks winded!
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duke tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duke to the ground. Duke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Duke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duke is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lee tries to kick Duke off but Duke keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duke controlling the action here.
Duke's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee is looking to escape.
Duke controlling the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Duke continues to stall.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Duke stuffs the takedown.
Duke is looking to counter the offense by Lee and move into the clinch.

Duke lands a left and a right that send Lee crashing to the mat, dazed. Duke thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lee is rocked!
Duke measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Lee! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). James Duke!
