Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rosco Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McManus comes to the cage accompanied by Devil Went Down to Georgia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan McManus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rosco Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins looks for a takedown but McManus sprawls well.
Nice sprawl there from McManus as Jenkins shoots in.
McManus scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

and Jenkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McManus!
McManus regains half guard.
McManus trying to hold on to Jenkins's head to control him but Jenkins postures up.

Jenkins seems to be looking for submissions.
McManus lands with a few short shots to the body.

Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but McManus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jenkins is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, McManus has managed to free his arm - good work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jenkins is trying to control. McManus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jenkins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Dan McManus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rosco Jenkins.

Jenkins goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McManus rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jenkins's guard! Nice work there by McManus!

McManus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jenkins wants to improve his position but instead McManus has moved into half guard.

McManus wants to stand up but Jenkins has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McManus prevents Jenkins from improving his position.
McManus is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Jenkins wants to control but McManus passes into side.
Jenkins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jenkins is staying active underneath McManus, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McManus tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jenkins works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins is looking for a triangle but McManus pushes his legs off easily.
McManus won't allow Jenkins to sweep him here.
McManus controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
McManus will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jenkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McManus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McManus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

McManus wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.
Jenkins has a closed guard, preventing McManus from standing up.
Jenkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McManus manages to get himself to full guard.
McManus wants to stand up but Jenkins is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jenkinsis looking to pass into half guard but McManus pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McManus is in guard.
Jenkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McManus trying to control but Jenkins is working from the bottom.

Jenkins throws his legs up looking for a submission but McManus uses it to pass to side control.

and Jenkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dan McManus will probably get the nod.
That's time! McManus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The fighters circle momentarily. McManus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jenkins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McManus won't allow Jenkins to sweep him here.
Jenkins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
McManus trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rosco Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McManus decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jenkins, up you get!
McManus throws a right and a left that Jenkins avoids nicely.

and McManus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McManus's guard.

Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McManus swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McManus is trying to control the position but Jenkins postures up.

Jenkins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McManus manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jenkins has McManus in his guard.

Jenkins looking for a guillotine here but McManus defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jenkins is working an open guard so McManus takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jenkins on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McManus throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease.
Jenkins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McManus to score with a decent uppercut.
McManus scores with a leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dan McManus showed his dominance in that final round.
Well McManus has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
