Rittier is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thompson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Thompson tries to pull guard but Rittier holds him up against the cage and eventually Thompson drops back down to his feet.

Thompson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
