The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salamies's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stokowski connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Salamies scrambles back to his feet.

Salamies fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stokowski sprawls well initially but Salamies persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salamies seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stokowski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Salamies has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Stokowski defend it? Salamies steps over the head and cranks it - Stokowski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Salamies!
