The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bills avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bills throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davydenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Bills swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nice takedown defense from Davydenko. No joy for Bills on that attempt.
Davydenko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Dragan Davydenko has been cut.
Bills dives in and grabs Davydenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davydenko pushes down on Bills's head and hops out.

Bills will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Davydenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bills was covering up waiting for the punch and Davydenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Bills has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
