Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zdravko Dren Jr (ranked 1206 p4p, 2026 weight class) and Charlie Stone (ranked 125 p4p, 216 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zdravko Dren Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Stone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dren Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stone throws out a counter right but Dren Jr avoids it with no problem.
Stone slips under a jab.
Stone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dren Jr misses with a body punch
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stone uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dren Jr lands with a right hand.
Stone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dren Jr missing with a left hand there. Stone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Stone unleashes a big counter combination but Dren Jr bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Dren Jr misses with a double jab
and Stone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dren Jr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Zdravko Dren Jr has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone drops Dren Jr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dren Jr looks back up at him and smiles so Stone waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dren Jr throws a lazy uppercut
and Stone counters with a nice right hand that sends Dren Jr toppling to the canvas! Dren Jr scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Stone finish him?!
Dren Jr is rocked!
Stone is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Stone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dren Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it.
Stone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
An inside leg kick lands from Dren Jr.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dren Jr. That's going to slow Stone down.
Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Stone counters with a nice body shot.
Dren Jr staying out of range there.
Stone throws a big shot that misses.
Dren Jr misses with a left hand
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Dren Jr listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dren Jr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dren Jr.

Stone throws a punch but it's blocked by Dren Jr.
Dren Jr misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dren Jr scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Stone throws a head punch that misses.
Dren Jr looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Dren Jr is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stone is defending well.
Dren Jr wants a takedown.
Stone tries a body shot but Dren Jr blocks it.
Dren Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dren Jr closes the distance but Stone moves to the side
and Stone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stone walks into a straight right hand from Dren Jr.
Stone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dren Jr.
Stone throws a lazy uppercut
and Dren Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dren Jr throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone dodges the punch combination from Dren Jr.
Stone swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Stone lands a slapping body shot.
Dren Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice jab there from Stone.
Dren Jr misses with a body punch
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stone misses with a looping right.
Dren Jr looks to throw a body kick
and Stone counters with a crisp right hand that drops Dren Jr! Stone lets Dren Jr back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dren Jr falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stone rattles Dren Jr with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Dren Jr tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Stone dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Dren Jr stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charlie Stone!
