Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Everett Zuniga (ranked 4001 p4p, 4352 weight class) and Aayush Pande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Everett Zuniga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aayush Pande!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pande shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Zuniga has his hands on Pande's head, controlling the position.
Pande in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Zuniga is trying to keep Pande in close.

Zuniga has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pande off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zuniga fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Pande as Zuniga shoots in.

Pande shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zuniga napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Zuniga throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Pande makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Zuniga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pande sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zuniga somewhat.

Pande decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zuniga tries to get to full guard but Pande has control of the leg.
Pande throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Pande thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zuniga looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pande performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Zuniga regains full guard. Nicely done.
Pande slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zuniga wriggles free and stands up.
Zuniga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pande defends it nicely.

Pande shoots in and bounces Zuniga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zuniga is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Pande presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pande breaks the clinch.
Pande throws a head kick that misses
and Zuniga counters with a left and a right that stings Pande.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Pande throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zuniga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pande is in Zuniga's guard.

Zuniga controls Pande momentarily but Pande frees himself.
Pande controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Everett Zuniga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pande won't allow Zuniga to sweep him here.
Pande looking to sit in guard and control but Zuniga gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pande really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zuniga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pande bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zuniga's guard.


Pande stands up and waves to Zuniga to follow him.
Zuniga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pande as he avoids it easily.

Zuniga wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pande is now in half guard.

Pande is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zuniga has managed to free his arm - good work.
Zuniga avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pande.
Zuniga tries to roll over but Pande keeps him under control.

Zuniga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zuniga.

Zuniga is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pande is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pande connects with a nice short shot to Zuniga's temple.

Pande is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Zuniga works his way to full guard. Good work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Aayush Pande showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Pande keeps the fight on the outside.
Zuniga misses with a two punch combination.
Zuniga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pande as he avoids it easily.
Pande circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zuniga tries to clinch up but Pande circles away and keeps his distance.
Zuniga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Zuniga gets caught napping as Pande dives in and scores a takedown. Zuniga manages to retain guard.

Pande slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zuniga prevents Pande from moving into mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Zuniga sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Pande stalling.
Pande drops an elbow to the side of Zuniga's head.
Pande trying to mount his opponent but Zuniga defends it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pande pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zuniga is keeping the position for now.
Zuniga is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pande is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Everett Zuniga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Zuniga rushes Pande and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pande fails to pull guard.
Zuniga prevents the takedown attempt.

Pande breaks from the clinch.
Pande jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zuniga moves in looking to clinch but Pande pushes him off.
Pande feints a counter leg kick.

Zuniga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pande's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Pande manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Pande changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Zuniga fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Everett Zuniga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aayush Pande.

Pande keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zuniga shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pande but Pande pushes him off and we're back to square one.
