The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Price.
Schwartz wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Price closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Price stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Schwartz to get to his feet.

Schwartz instigates a clinch.

Schwartz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Schwartz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schwartz can't keep his opponent in guard - Price advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Price is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schwartz is just riding it out for now. Price eventually gives up the hold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Price uses his free foot to push down on Schwartz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Schwartz.

Price jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Schwartz manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Price has hold of Schwartz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Schwartz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Price cranks the arm and Schwartz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Schwartz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
