The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffrey Walker Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Howell pinned against the cage. Howell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Howell looks for a takedown but Jeffrey Walker Miller sprawls well.
Jeffrey Walker Miller goes for a double leg but Howell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Howell continues to drive forward.
Howell drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jeffrey Walker Miller sprawls and moves away.

Howell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jeffrey Walker Miller's guard.

Jeffrey Walker Miller has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Howell has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
