PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Coronado Demas (ranked 4744 p4p, 3942 weight class) and Yellow Yellen (ranked 411 p4p, 387 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Coronado Demas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yellow Yellen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yellen wants to slow Demas down by chopping away at his legs.

Yellen clinches with his opponent.
Demas prevents a takedown attempt there.

Demas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yellen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Demas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Yellen wants to take the fight to the mat but Demas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Yellen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Demas smiles and moves away.
Demas misses with a takedown attempt - Yellen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yellen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Yellen goes for a double leg but Demas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Demas continues to drive forward.
Yellen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Yellen shoots for a double leg takedown but Demas sprawls well. He's pushed Yellen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Yellen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Demas's waist but Demas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yellen off to one side.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Demas is trying to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Coronado Demas will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Yellow Yellen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
