PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Borgia (ranked 438 p4p, 526 weight class) and Samuel Jones (ranked 45 p4p, 58 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones drives through and clinches with Borgia against the cage.
Borgia blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Borgia prevents a body shot from Jones.

Borgia manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jones told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Borgia manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Borgia shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Borgia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Borgia ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Borgia no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Borgia clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
You can see the frustration on Borgia's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A very excited looking Samuel Jones rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
