Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Israel Okoye (ranked 2173 p4p, 5394 weight class) and Simon Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoye misses with an uppercut.
Adams misses with an uppercut.
Okoye takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've been told by Okoye's head coaches at Primal Concrete Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Adams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Okoye.
Sloppy strikes from Adams. Those never looked like landing.
As Adams backs away, Okoye returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Okoye goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Okoye defending well as Adams loads up on a big left hand.
Adams throws a hook to the side of Okoye's head but Okoye sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Okoye has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Adams doesn't defend quickly enough and Okoye has managed to lock this one up! Can Adams escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Okoye on a fantastic submission victory.
