The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hohenthal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kock sprawls well initially but Hohenthal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Batang Kock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kock goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hohenthal momentarily.
Hohenthal takes a swing at Kock's ribcage but misses.
Kock loads up on a big right hand but Hohenthal slips the punch.
That kick from Kock tenderised Hohenthal's leg. Hohenthal is trying to keep his angry face on.
Batang Kock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hohenthal thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hohenthal lands a body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kock, as that shot connected.

Kock fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hohenthal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kock paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hohenthal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kock has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hohenthal finds it's way round the side to connect with Kock's head.
Kock lands with a nice body kick.
Kock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hohenthal moves away.
Hohenthal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Donk. Kock catches Hohenthal right on the button with a cross.
Hohenthal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kock.

Kock ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hohenthal throws a jab but it's blocked by Kock.
Hohenthal takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kock slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Hohenthal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kock slips a straight right by Hohenthal.
Kock lands a head kick. Hohenthal smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hohenthal stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kock connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hohenthal's hands.
Kock lands with a good body shot.
Kock throws a hook but Hohenthal blocks it.
Kock throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hohenthal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

It looked like Hohenthal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kock throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Hohenthal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kock.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Batang Kock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
