Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between D.D Panda (ranked 1560 p4p, 783 weight class) and Tristan St. Gough (ranked 225 p4p, 121 weight class). Tristan St. Gough will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Panda.
Panda feinted with a counter takedown.
St. Gough tries to close the distance and clinch up but Panda swats him away and circles back towards the center.
St. Gough misses with a wild body shot.

St. Gough tries to sprawl but Panda drives through with a takedown into half guard.

St. Gough has one foot on Panda's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Panda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
St. Gough has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

I was talking to Panda's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
St. Gough manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Panda manages to get himself to full guard.

Panda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. St. Gough was covering up waiting for the punch and Panda finishes the takedown easily into guard.
St. Gough wants to stand but Panda is controlling the position.

St. Gough connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Panda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
St. Gough is looking for a sweep. Panda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

St. Gough stuffs the takedown attempt from Panda. Panda gets slowly back to his feet.
