Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Oldham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Allen !
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oldham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allen as he jumps to the side.

Oldham moves into range and clinches up with Allen .
Oldham wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Allen has him pressed against the cage.

Allen gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Allen trying to control the action but Oldham is working from the bottom.
Allen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Allen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Oldham is trying to stand up here but Allen is controlling him well.
Oldham tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oldham holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Oldham is trying to maintain the position but Allen is very close to passing his half guard.
Allen slows the pace down in half guard.

Allen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Oldham defends it well.
Allen is stalling here. Oldham is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Allen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Oldham has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Oldham passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Allen !
Allen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Allen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Allen is squirming around, avoiding Oldham's attempts to control the action.
Allen is controlling an arm, preventing Oldham from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Allen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Allen tries to hold on but Oldham pushes him away.

Oldham is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oldham is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Allen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Oldham won't let Allen get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Oldham connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Oldham thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Allen wants to control but Oldham is having none of it.

Allen tries to control Oldham's body but Oldham pushes him off. Allen squirms to his side and now Oldham has his back!

You can see the frustration on Allen 's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Allen avoids the strikes from Oldham.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Oldham will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Allen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Allen showed some decent athleticism there.
Allen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.


It looks like Will Oldham has been cut.

Oldham is defending against the submission attempts here by Allen .
Oldham keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Allen is trying to work for a kimura but Oldham is defending well.
Oldham is staying active underneath Allen , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Oldham controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Allen uses his free foot to push down on Oldham's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Oldham.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oldham is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
A nice elbow there by Allen .

Allen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Oldham is on top in guard.
Oldham trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Allen wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Oldham is now in half guard.
Allen missing with punches from the bottom.

Oldham stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Oldham gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Allen avoids the attempt from Oldham to control.
Allen wants to take Oldham's back here but Oldham is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Oldham is looking to improve his position but Allen isn't that keen on the idea.
Allen looking to control but Oldham is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Allen wants to control the pace but Oldham is squirming around nicely.
Allen lands a heavy elbow.


Will Oldham's cut is getting worse.
Allen looking to control but Oldham is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Oldham wants to hold on but Allen pushes him away.
Allen unloads with some shots from mount but Oldham bucks and avoids them well.
Allen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oldham is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oldham wants to control but Allen is having none of it.

Allen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Allen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Allen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Oldham!

Allen stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Oldham counters with a shoot takedown. Allen fights it but they end up in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You can see the frustration on Allen 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Carl Allen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Will Oldham's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Oldham doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Allen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oldham won't be happy with that.
Allen wants to control but Oldham is keeping him busy.

Allen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Allen dodges the punch combination from Oldham.
Oldham walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Allen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Oldham takes a jab right on the kisser.
Oldham clinches but Allen breaks the clinch

and Allen counters by clinching up.
Oldham tries to land knees in the clinch but Allen avoids the damage to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Allen manages to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Oldham drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Oldham as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Allen screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Oldham! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Will Oldham!
