Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davis Chang (ranked 2508 p4p, 5102 weight class) and Kevin Randleman (ranked 324 p4p, 542 weight class). Davis Chang has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davis Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randleman stuffs the takedown.

Randleman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chang, pushing him back against the cage.

Chang has hold of one of Randleman's legs. Randleman is fighting the takedown attempt but Chang gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Chang pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Randleman is keeping the position for now.
Chang controlling from the top position.
Randleman controls Chang momentarily but Chang frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randleman keeping moving, preventing Chang from controlling successfully.
Chang sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Randleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chang thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Chang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chang pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Randleman is keeping the position for now.
Randleman looking to control but Chang passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Randleman is not content to let Chang control the position.
Chang is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Randleman!
Chang has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Chang wants to finish this one by submission but Randleman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chang.
Chang works his way to his opponent's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Randleman is trying to defend against the choke here but Chang has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Chang Tightens the hold and Randleman taps out furiously! Chang displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Davis Chang!
