Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eh Phuthong (ranked 799 p4p, 701 weight class) and Gunnar Bloodaxe (ranked 99 p4p, 91 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Phuthong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bloodaxe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Phuthong.

It looks like Eh Phuthong has been cut.
Gunnar Bloodaxe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Phuthong throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bloodaxe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Phuthong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bloodaxe closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Phuthong! Bloodaxe dives in looking to finish! Phuthong is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
