Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Guy Le Franc!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stoner Steve!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le Franc looks to score with a jab to the body but Steve is just out of range.
Steve throws a right hand that misses
and Steve takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Steve throws a shot from downtown. Le Franc moves away and avoids it.
Le Franc scores with a jab.
Le Franc misses with a straight right.
Steve doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Le Franc steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steve.
Le Franc's corner calls for a 1-2. Le Franc obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Le Franc misses with a hook.
Le Franc avoids the body shot from Steve.
Le Franc swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steve lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Le Franc circles away quickly and effectively.
Steve stuns Le Franc with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Guy Le Franc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A little feinted left hand from Le Franc on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Steve thuds a left hand into Le Franc's body.
Le Franc takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Steve looks to land a left hand but Le Franc moved out of range nicely.
Steve moves in looking to clinch but Le Franc pushes him off.
Le Franc misses the jab.
Steve looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Nice straight punches there by Le Franc. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Le Franc.

Le Franc moves into the clinch.
Steve has Le Franc pressed against the cage, preventing Le Franc from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Steve goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Steve struggles to land a body shot inside as Le Franc controls his hands.

Steve throws a series of punches but Le Franc avoids them all with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steve. Le Franc does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steve connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Steve throws out a loose jab but Le Franc uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Le Franc on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Steve misses with a straight right.

Steve throws a hook to the side of Le Franc's head but Le Franc sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Le Franc is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steve.
Steve misses with a looping left.
Le Franc is looking to counter punch.
Steve uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Le Franc.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Le Franc tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steve paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Steve lunges at Le Franc with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Le Franc's hand.
Steve scores with a nice right hand.
Steve throws an overhand right that lands on Le Franc's shoulder, as Le Franc tries to avoid the shot.
Steve misses with an uppercut. Le Franc saw that one coming.
Steve keeps the fight on the outside.
Steve tests Le Franc's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stoner Steve dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Steve loads up on a big right hand but Le Franc slips the punch.
Steve throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steve. Le Franc does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Le Franc, as that shot connected.
Le Franc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steve manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steve shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Steve is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Le Franc like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Le Franc from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stoner Steve!
Stoner Steve is the new light heavyweight champion!
Our winner, Stoner Steve, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
