Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitali Kersikov I I (ranked 398 p4p, 273 weight class) and Kwame Nti (ranked 60 p4p, 40 weight class). Kersikov I I kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sefa & Mr. Ivex - LSD Problem. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kwame Nti!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nti moves out of range of the leg kick from Kersikov I I.
Nti tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kersikov I I defends well and Nti ends up having to push Kersikov I I into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kersikov I I throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kwame Nti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nti fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kersikov I I to the ground. Nti is now in Kersikov I I's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nti shoots in but Kersikov I I avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As Nti backs away, Kersikov I I returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Nti drives through with a takedown into Kersikov I I's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kersikov I I can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nti controls the pace.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nti wants to pass to mount but Kersikov I I is defending the position.

Kersikov I I is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nti's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nti's back!
Nti felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Vitali Kersikov I I will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Nti throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kersikov I I tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nti is in Kersikov I I's guard.
Kersikov I I is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kersikov I I lands a leg kick that knocks Nti off balance momentarily.
Nti doesn't manage to clinch there - Kersikov I I circles away.

Kersikov I I throws a looping overhand right but Nti ducks down to avoid it.
Kersikov I I takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kersikov I I missing with a left hand there. Nti was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Nti closes the distance and pushes Kersikov I I back into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nti.
Kersikov I I misses with some punches.
Nti lands on the inside with an uppercut.
It looks like Vitali Kersikov I I has been cut.
Nti gets through Kersikov I I's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kersikov I I prevents a body shot from Nti.
Kersikov I I working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kersikov I I blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nti can't find room to land a body shot as Kersikov I I controls the action.
Kersikov I I lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nti backwards.
Nti has hold of one of Kersikov I I's legs. Kersikov I I is fighting the takedown attempt but Nti gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
