Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapani Kangas (ranked 2315 p4p, 1685 weight class) and Giacomo Bandolero (ranked 264 p4p, 202 weight class). Bandolero is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bandolero. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Giacomo Bandolero!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kangas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bandolero uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kangas.
Bandolero shoots in and drives through. Kangas sprawls well.
Bandolero stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kangas.
Bandolero looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kangas is fending him off so far but Bandolero persists. Nope, Kangas circles away and we're back to standing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kangas. Bandolero does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bandolero drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kangas defends it well.
Kangas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bandolero's head backwards.
Bandolero misses with a double jab
and Kangas counters with an outside leg kick.
Bandolero moves out of range of the body kick from Kangas.
Bandolero goes for a double leg but Kangas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kangas continues to drive forward.
Tapani Kangas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giacomo Bandolero.
Bandolero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A lazy left from Kangas finds it's target.
Kangas lands a head shot.
Kangas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kangas throws a lazy right hand but Bandolero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bandolero wants to control from the top but Kangas keeps moving.

Kangas has Bandolero pulled in close to control his posture.

Bandolero drops back looking for a leg! Kangas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kangas manages to kick Bandolero off! Bandolero jumps back into Kangas's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kangas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bandolero lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Bandolero drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kangas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bandolero has Kangas in his guard.

Kangas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bandolero is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kangas is aware though and is defending well.

Bandolero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kangas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kangas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bandolero is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kangas is aware though and is defending well.

Bandolero isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kangas stacks Bandolero on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kangas!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bandolero has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Kangas. Oh but Bandolero has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Kangas goes limp - he's gone! Bandolero jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
