Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Money Pacman (ranked 1898 p4p, 2985 weight class) and Edwin Valero (ranked 142 p4p, 214 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Money Pacman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Edwin Valero!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valero showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pacman.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valero is defended easily by Pacman.
A little feinted left hand from Pacman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Edwin Valero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pacman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Valero displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pacman throws out the jab.
Pacman throws a jab but it's blocked by Valero.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Valero goes for a double leg but Pacman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pacman continues to drive forward.
Pacman sizes up Valero with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Valero shoots in for a double leg but Pacman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
It looked like Pacman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Money Pacman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edwin Valero.
A telegraphed right hand from Pacman misses the target.
Valero changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Pacman scores with a sloppy right hand. Valero should have avoided that one.
Sloppy strikes from Pacman. Those never looked like landing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice takedown defense from Pacman. No joy for Valero on that attempt.
Pacman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Valero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pacman as he jumps to the side.

Sloppy strikes from Pacman. Those never looked like landing.
Money Pacman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pacman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Valero in his tracks.
Pacman is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pacman blocks a head kick by Valero.
Valero drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Valero avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Valero closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Valero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Valero wants to control the pace but Pacman is squirming around nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Valero is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pacman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Pacman is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Valero is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Valero struggling to keep hold of the position.
Well, with Valero on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Pacman is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Pacman is trying to get back to his feet but Valero has full control of the position and if anything, Pacman has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Our spies down at at Gumburcules Gym inform us that Valero has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Valero is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pacman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Valero working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Pacman is doing well to defend. Valero seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Pacman is forced to tap and this one is over!
