The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Sergio Jr has been cut.
Jr throws a head kick that misses

and recard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jr being controlled here, momentarily.
recard trying to control but Jr is working from the bottom.
Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

recard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Despite being in the dominant position, jimmy recard just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

recard feints and as Jr raises his hands in defense, recard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

recard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jr tries to avoid it but recard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jr to the ground. Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
recard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
recard shoots for a double leg takedown but Jr sprawls well. He's pushed recard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sergio Jr will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

recard jumps guard but Jr stands there with recard around his waist. recard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

recard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

jimmy recard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well recard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
