Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Semaj Onfrey (ranked 3949 p4p, 4007 weight class) and Klaew Kla (ranked 385 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Onfrey. No joy for Kla on that attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Onfrey on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Onfrey shoots in for a takedown but Kla shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Onfrey shoots for a double leg takedown but Kla sprawls well. He's pushed Onfrey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Semaj Onfrey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A quick step to the side and Onfrey tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kla moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kla throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Onfrey's waist but Onfrey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kla off to one side.
Onfrey stuffs the takedown attempt from Kla. Kla gets slowly back to his feet.

Onfrey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Onfrey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kla explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

It looked like Onfrey was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kla.

Kla fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Onfrey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kla scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kla is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Onfrey is just riding it out for now. Kla eventually gives up the hold.

Kla changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Onfrey tries to avoid it but Kla manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Onfrey to the ground. Onfrey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Onfrey was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Onfrey throws a sloppy head kick and Kla moves out of range easily.
Kla tries a quick counter leg kick but Onfrey is wise to it.

Kla is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kla crunches a lovely knee into Onfrey's ribcage.

Kla tightens his grip and picks Onfrey up, before dumping him to the ground. Onfrey manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Kla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
