Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Whitaker (ranked 2321 p4p, 3399 weight class) and James Aregood (ranked 244 p4p, 347 weight class). Frank Whitaker had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Aregood!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It seemed like Aregood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Whitaker staying out of range there.
Aregood takes one on the button.
Whitaker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aregood.

Whitaker lands a left and a right that send Aregood crashing to the mat, dazed. Whitaker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Aregood is rocked!
Aregood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aregood is still on wobbly legs! Can Whitaker finish him?

Whitaker cracks Aregood with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Aregood looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Whitaker finish him?

Whitaker throws a looping overhand right but Aregood ducks down to avoid it.
Aregood looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Aregood seems to have recovered his senses.
Whitaker lands with a right hand.
Aregood takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Whitaker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Aregood.

Whitaker thows a left - swing and a miss!
Whitaker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Aregood's head.

Whitaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Whitaker drops Aregood with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Aregood looks back up at him and smiles so Whitaker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whitaker throws a right and a left that Aregood avoids nicely.
Whitaker closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Aregood! Whitaker dives in looking to finish! Aregood is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
