Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bart Detweiler (ranked 1535 p4p, 1279 weight class) and Kulma Rauta (ranked 166 p4p, 136 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bart Detweiler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kulma Rauta!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Detweiler throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kulma Rauta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rauta throws the left hand but Detweiler avoids the punch easily.
Detweiler has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Detweiler lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A big left from Rauta misses.
Detweiler half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Detweiler slips a straight right by Rauta.
Detweiler tries to counter with a takedown but Rauta is quick to defend against it.
Rauta is looking to slow Detweiler down with leg kicks.
Detweiler goes for a double leg but Rauta avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rauta continues to drive forward.

Rauta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Detweiler throws out the jab.
Detweiler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rauta.
Detweiler tries to counter with a takedown but Rauta is quick to defend against it.
Rauta throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Bart Detweiler has been cut.

Rauta is controlling Detweiler's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Detweiler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Detweiler is trying to control. Rauta wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rauta pushes Detweiler off looking to stand but Detweiler dives back in and keeps control.
Detweiler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Detweiler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rauta is just riding it out for now. Detweiler eventually gives up the hold.

Detweiler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rauta doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Detweiler.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Detweiler wants to take a breather but Rauta is having none of it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Detweiler takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Rauta throws a chopping leg kick but Detweiler manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

It looked like Detweiler wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Detweiler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Detweiler there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rauta manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rauta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rauta throws out a counter right but Detweiler avoids it with no problem.

Rauta lands a nice looking kick to the body. Detweiler takes a step back to recover.

Rauta is trying to control Detweiler's posture but Detweiler avoids it.

Rauta has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rauta has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Rauta seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rauta seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rauta feints and then cracks Detweiler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Detweiler down.

Rauta throws a lazy right hand but Detweiler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Detweiler tries to land a front kick but Rauta steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rauta bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Rauta cracks Detweiler with an open hand slap.
Rauta scores with a punch to the head.
Detweiler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Detweiler is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Detweiler shoots in and bounces Rauta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

A very excited looking Kulma Rauta made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Bart Detweiler was interviewed post fight and said 'The Athletic Commission just announced my opponent has tested positive for PEDs, so this fight will be declared a No-Contest. Big up to those of us who still fight clean!'.
