Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Svensson Von Tancred (ranked 1647 p4p, 2347 weight class) and Michael Tavares (ranked 188 p4p, 261 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Svensson Von Tancred!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Tavares!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares ducks under a wild hook from Von Tancred.
Tavares throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Von Tancred's waist but Von Tancred gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tavares off to one side.
The fighters circling - Von Tancred throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tavares has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Von Tancred is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
