Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Esa Nahka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nahka might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to No fear. Neck is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rolling Stones - Paint it black. Pencil Neck has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Esa Nahka's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Esa Nahka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pencil Neck!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Neck feints and as Nahka raises his hands in defense, Neck changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Nahka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Neck trying to control the position from guard on top but Nahka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neck tries to free his leg and advance position but Nahka is retaining full guard.

Nahka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nahka trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neck trying to control but Nahka is working from the bottom.

Neck stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Neck looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nahka!

Neck is persistently looking for the submission but Nahka is defending it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Nahka's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Neck is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Nahka rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Nahka is looking to escape.
Neck passes to full mount!
Nahka throwing hammer fists to the chest of Neck. What's that going to do exactly?

Neck looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Neck misses with a head shot.
Neck trying to control but Nahka is having none of it.

Nahka sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Nahka wants to control but Neck is keeping busy.

Nahka looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Neck in particular looking to stall.
Neck throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Neck wants to take a breather but Nahka is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neck is trying to control. Nahka wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neck is keen to just control but Nahka is a slippery customer.

Nahka is looking for a sweep. Neck is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Nahka looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Pencil Neck dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Neck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Nahka wants to control but Neck is having none of it.

Nahka tries to lock up and control but Neck gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Neck takes Nahka's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nahka tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Nahka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Neck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pencil Neck has got the better of the ground game so far.

Nahka has an active guard here but Neck has managed to pass into half guard.
Neck is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nahka!

Nahka tries to reverse the position but Neck maintains control.

Neck is going olschool here, as he tries to force Nahka to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nahka shrugs it off.

Pencil Neck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Neck throws a strike but Nahka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nahka wants to control from the top but Neck keeps moving.

Nahka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neck swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nahka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Neck shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Nahka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Neck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Neck pushes Nahka away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nahka gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Nahka is trying to get an arm triangle but Neck is defending well.
Neck is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Nahka prevents Neck from improving his position.

Nahka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Neck defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Neck fails with the takedown.

Nahka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nahka misses with a head shot. Neck uses the momentum to regain guard.

Esa Nahka showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Neck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
