Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grapple God (ranked 4160 p4p, 4041 weight class) and Martin Pierce (ranked 402 p4p, 391 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pierce closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming God to the mat! God manages to get full guard.
God is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

God tries to pass to full mount but Pierce defends it.
God with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Pierce looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
God is looking to advance position but Pierce won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
God thows a huge punch but Pierce dodges it nicely.
God wants to get back to his feet.
God trying to control the action but Pierce is working from the bottom.
God prevents Pierce from improving his position.
God is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. God connects with a nice short shot to Pierce's temple.
God prevents Pierce from improving his position.
God stops Pierce from getting back to his feet.
Pierce controlling the position for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
God tries to clinch there but Pierce circles away.
Pierce closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Pierce throws a shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Martin Pierce comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pierce has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
