The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jewru connects with a jab.

It looks like Jason Voorhees has been cut.
Jewru lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Voorhees at a distance.
Voorhees is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jewru sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Voorhees is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Voorhees shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jewru is trying to defend but Voorhees finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Voorhees looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jewru with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jewru is looking for a sweep. Voorhees is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Voorhees has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Voorhees has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Voorhees.

Voorhees goes for a double leg but Jewru avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jewru continues to drive forward.

Jewru thuds his right hand into Voorhees's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Jewru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Voorhees. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jewru can do anything to dispel that myth.
Voorhees lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jewru down.

Voorhees is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jewru's shoulder. That is not cool.
