The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice sprawl there from Mason as Destroyer shoots in. Mason tries to counter with a clinch but Destroyer shakes him off and moves away. Destroyer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mason's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Destroyer (2) vs (0) Mason Destroyer looking to pass the guard. Mason looking for a sweep. Not yet Mason, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mason can do anything to dispel that myth. Destroyer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mason looks panicked! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason trying to control the action but Destroyer is working from the bottom. That's one minute gone in the round. Destroyer tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Mason trying to control but Destroyer is having none of it.
