And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicholas McDonald!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a one two combo.
McDonald scores with a jab to the body.

McDonald lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Green throws a hook but McDonald blocks it.

McDonald ducks right into an uppercut from Green.

Green shoots for a takedown but McDonald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from McDonald! But no joy.

McDonald paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McDonald ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and McDonald counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McDonald leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Green looks to land a right hand but McDonald moved out of range.
McDonald throws a lazy right hand but Green sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McDonald throws a jab but it's blocked by Green.
Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McDonald manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Green scores with a sloppy right hand. McDonald should have avoided that one.

Green with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McDonald to score with a decent uppercut.
Green fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McDonald to the ground. Green is now in McDonald's guard.
Green wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving.

McDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McDonald is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Green presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Green has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McDonald avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Green jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McDonald walks away with a smile on his face. Green gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
McDonald slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McDonald throws a series of punches but Green avoids them all with ease.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Green is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McDonald.
