The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury wants to clinch.
Thoupos tries a head kick but it misses.
Thoupos shoots in for a takedown but Fury shows good takedown defense.
Thoupos sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A head kick misses from Fury.
Fury throws a one two combo.
Fury throws a sloppy head kick
and Thoupos counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Flash Fury has been cut.
Fury connects with a high kick.
Thoupos tries to close the distance and clinch but Fury swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fury throws a sloppy head kick and Thoupos moves out of range easily.

Thoupos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fury rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thoupos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thoupos fails with the takedown.

Fury misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fury throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fury throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Thoupos.
Fury plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Thoupos avoids the head kick by Fury.
Fury throws a series of punches but Thoupos avoids them all with ease.
Fury lands with a nice combination. Thoupos backs away looking to recover.
Fury bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fury is looking to take a break and control but Thoupos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thoupos gets back to half guard.
Thoupos works his way to full guard. Good work.
Thoupos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Thoupos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fury can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
