Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garrick Morello (ranked 4266 p4p, 4516 weight class) and Slippery Pete (ranked 249 p4p, 256 weight class). Slippery Pete will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slippery Pete!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morello dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pete misses with a two punch combination.
Morello has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pete dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Morello. That did some damage!
Pete scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pete shoots in looking for a takedown. Morello tries to sprawl out of it but Pete keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morello manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pete closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morello to the mat! Morello manages to get full guard.
Morello controls Pete momentarily but Pete frees himself.

Morello is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at K.O MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Pete takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morello gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Morello lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pete.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Morello manages to break the clinch.
Pete is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pete throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morello.

Pete shoots for a takedown but Morello saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Pete fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morello manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
