Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Mahomes (ranked 777 p4p, 957 weight class) and Ishmael Egyptian (ranked 64 p4p, 75 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ishmael Egyptian!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egyptian connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Egyptian jabs Mahomes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mahomes looks to score with a jab to the body but Egyptian is just out of range.
Mahomes misses with a leg kick.
Egyptian keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mahomes.
Egyptian feints the counter takedown.
Egyptian looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
My spies in The Infamous Duranto Gym inform me that Egyptian has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Egyptian is trying to work for a kimura but Mahomes is defending well.
Egyptian tries to pass to full mount but Mahomes defends it.

Egyptian is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mahomes defends it well.

Egyptian is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Egyptian is keen to just control but Mahomes is a slippery customer.
Egyptian is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mahomes sees it coming and defends easily.
Egyptian trying to control the action but Mahomes is working from the bottom.
Egyptian stops Mahomes from getting back to his feet.

Egyptian looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Egyptian is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mahomes has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mahomes prevents Egyptian from improving position.
Egyptian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mahomes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mahomes wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Egyptian is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mahomes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Egyptian tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Egyptian wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mahomes, who protects the arm well.
Mahomes wants to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Egyptian advances nicely into full mount.
Egyptian is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mahomes has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mahomes!
Mahomes has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Egyptian to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mahomes is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Egyptian pulls down on the head and he's put Mahomes to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ishmael Egyptian!
