The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bosnjak throws a lazy head kick
and Maldini counters with a straight right hand.
Bosnjak takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Maldini counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bosnjak tries to clinch there but Maldini circles away.

Maldini swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bosnjak.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maldini looks to land a left hand but Bosnjak moved out of range nicely.
It looked like Bosnjak wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bosnjak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maldini sprawls well. Maldini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bosnjak gets slowly back to his feet.

Maldini appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Maldini. No joy for Bosnjak on that attempt.

and Maldini cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bosnjak swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maldini counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Bosnjak off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Maldini follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Bosnjak was out before he hit the floor.
