The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch but Augusto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wood moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Cristian de Souza Augusto has been cut.
Wood comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Augusto moves out of range of the body kick.
Wood scores with a jab to the body.

Augusto fails with a takedown attempt.

and Augusto counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
