Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Trapp (ranked 3804 p4p, 5734 weight class) and Jack Jenkins Jr (ranked 237 p4p, 299 weight class). Jack Jenkins Jr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Trapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Jenkins Jr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trapp moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jenkins Jr shoots in but Trapp avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Trapp ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jenkins Jr throws a lazy head kick

and Trapp counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jenkins Jr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jenkins Jr just leaning against Trapp, taking a breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins Jr throws a head punch that misses.
Trapp throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A bit of stalling here from Trapp.

Trapp taking a breather.
Jenkins Jr is trying to stall.
Jenkins Jr is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Trapp pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Will Trapp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Jenkins Jr.
Trapp gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jenkins Jr.
Trapp is pushing Jenkins Jr up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jenkins Jr landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jenkins Jr is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Trapp is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Trapp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jenkins Jr looks winded!
Trapp ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jenkins Jr takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Trapp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Trapp counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Trapp ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Trapp lands a left and a right that send Jenkins Jr crashing to the mat, dazed. Trapp thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jenkins Jr is rocked!

It looks like Jack Jenkins Jr has been cut.
Trapp is looking to wear down Jenkins Jr with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Jenkins Jr get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Jenkins Jr stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Trapp runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Will Trapp!
Jack Jenkins Jr was interviewed post fight and said 'I just wanted to apologise to my fans, I came out here to win and put on a show and i feel like iv let everyone down, but I wanted to thank my fans and family and friends for their continued support and I’ll bounce back even stronger'.
