The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Hicks as Kingston shoots in.
Kingston shoots in but Hicks avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kingston enables Hicks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kingston manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kingston bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hicks's guard.

Kingston drops back looking for a leg! Hicks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hicks manages to kick Kingston off! Kingston jumps back into Hicks's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kingston frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Kingston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hicks can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kingston is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hicks is trying to escape and Kingston transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hicks is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kingston! Very nice indeed!
