Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Darwin (ranked 4143 p4p, 4975 weight class) and David Basharat (ranked 267 p4p, 296 weight class). Charles Darwin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Darwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Basharat!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darwin leaves Basharat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Darwin is looking for a counter combo.
Darwin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Basharat scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basharat manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

We've been hearing reports that Darwin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Basharat lands a left hand that snaps the head of Darwin backwards.

Basharat's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
