Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spider Monkey (ranked 250 p4p, 608 weight class) and Benny The Bouncer (ranked 30 p4p, 80 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spider Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Benny The Bouncer!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey throws a jab but it's blocked by The Bouncer.
Monkey throws the left hand but The Bouncer avoids the punch easily.
The Bouncer tries a quick counter leg kick but Monkey is wise to it.
Monkey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Monkey misses with a leg kick
and The Bouncer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The Bouncer tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The Bouncer throws a looping overhand right but Monkey ducks down to avoid it.
Monkey misses with a wild body shot.
Monkey throws a jab but it's blocked by The Bouncer.
Monkey lands a lovely overhand right.
Monkey looks to throw the jab but The Bouncer is out of range.
Monkey scores with a jab to the head.
Monkey blocks a low kick nicely.
Monkey misses with a lunging right hand
and The Bouncer counters with a nice body kick.
The Bouncer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Monkey was well out of range. Poor timing from The Bouncer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monkey misses with a straight right.
Monkey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The Bouncer manages to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from The Bouncer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The Bouncer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The Bouncer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Monkey.
The Bouncer throws a half hearted mid kick.
Monkey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The Bouncer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
The Bouncer cracks Monkey with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The Bouncer throws a push kick but Monkey slaps the foot to one side.
The Bouncer misses with a hook. Monkey ducked under it nicely.
Monkey is looking to counter with head kicks.
Monkey's jab looks to have found its range, popping The Bouncer under the eye.
The Bouncer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Monkey catches The Bouncer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

A low kick from Monkey is predictable there
and The Bouncer counters with a nice body shot.
Monkey stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The Bouncer is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Monkey connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The Bouncer gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Monkey gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! The Bouncer is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spider Monkey!
A relieved looking Spider Monkey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Benny The Bouncer spoke after the fight, saying 'Shit man!'.
