Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Farhad Toluoi (ranked 4042 p4p, 4243 weight class) and Gauge Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Farhad Toluoi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gauge Andersen!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen gets the takedown into side control.
Toluoi tries to improve position but can't.
Andersen tries for a kimura but Toluoi is defending well.
Toluoi struggling a bit here.
Andersen swings around for an armbar but Toluoi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Andersen's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andersen wants to sweep here but Toluoi controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Toluoi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Toluoi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Andersen is proving hard to escape from.
Toluoi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Toluoi wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Andersen is pulling down on Toluoi's head to control his posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Andersen changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Toluoi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Andersen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Toluoi tries to stand but Andersen is controlling from the bottom.
Andersen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Toluoi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Toluoi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Andersen for as long as he can get away with.
Andersen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Toluoi stays in close to Andersen's body and controls the position.
Andersen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Toluoi manages to get himself to full guard.
Andersen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Toluoi dives on top into guard.

Andersen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Toluoi as he jumps to the side.
Andersen tries to clinch there but Toluoi circles away.
No luck for Toluoi with that takedown attempt.

Andersen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Toluoi defends well.
Toluoi slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andersen is looking for a sweep. Toluoi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Toluoi lands a nice short elbow.
Toluoi thows a huge punch but Andersen dodges it nicely.
Toluoi is trying to control. Andersen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Toluoi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Andersen defends it well.
Toluoi wants to take a breather but Andersen is having none of it.
Toluoi wants to stand up but Andersen has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Andersen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Andersen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Andersen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Toluoi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Toluoi has escaped and now he's on top!
Toluoi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Toluoi content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Andersen is trying to control the position but Toluoi postures up.
Toluoi wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving.
Toluoi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Andersen is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Andersen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Toluoi uses it to pass to side control.
Andersen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Toluoi off and has taken his back!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gauge Andersen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Andersen closes the distance and clinches up with Toluoi, looking for a takedown. Andersen pushes Toluoi against the cage but Toluoi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Andersen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Andersen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Toluoi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Farhad Toluoi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gauge Andersen.
Andersen tries to close the distance and clinch but Toluoi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Toluoi scores with a jab to the body.
Andersen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Toluoi is fending him off so far but Andersen persists. Nope, Toluoi circles away and we're back to standing.
Toluoi goes for a double leg but Andersen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Andersen continues to drive forward.
Andersen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Toluoi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toluoi just trying to survive but Andersen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Andersen looking to break Toluoi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Toluoi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Andersen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Andersen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Toluoi is defending well though. Andersen let's go of the attempt for now.
Toluoi just trying to survive but Andersen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Andersen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Andersen is looking for the choke from the back position but Toluoi is controlling his hands well.
Toluoi looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Andersen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Toluoi knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Toluoi for a finish.
Andersen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Toluoi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Toluoi tries to escape but Andersen has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Andersen is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Toluoi has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Andersen has got one arm under Toluoi's chin. This could be trouble... Toluoi trying to control the other hand but Andersen gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Toluoi has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gauge Andersen!
