Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jordan lands with a good body shot.
Murphy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jordan.
Murphy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Murphy has Jordan up against the cage in a clinch.
Murphy stalls.
Murphy is trying to pull guard but Jordan has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy misses with a punch on the inside.
Murphy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jordan just stands there and leans against the cage.

Murphy wants to clinch but Jordan slips to the side

Murphy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jordan throws out the jab.
Jordan throws out a loose jab but Murphy uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jordan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Murphy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Murphy tries to counter by clinching up but Jordan breaks away and moves out of range.
Jordan misses with a straight right.
Murphy moves out of range of the strikes.
A punch lands to the side of Murphy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jordan jabs at Murphy's body.
Murphy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jordan scores with a jab. Murphy acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Murphy moves into the clinch.
Murphy misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murphy is trying to pull guard but Jordan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jordan blocks an uppercut.
Jordan tries to break free but Murphy pushes him back against the cage.
Jordan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jordan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jordan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Murphy can't find room to land a body shot as Jordan controls the action.
Murphy misses with the head strike.
Murphy tries to throw a body punch but Jordan avoids it by throwing Murphy back against the cage.
Murphy tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Murphy has Jordan pressed against the cage, preventing Jordan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Murphy has a couple of punches blocked by Jordan.

Murphy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Murphy fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jordan breaks from the clinch.
Jordan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Murphy blocks a jab.
Murphy ducks under a wild hook from Jordan.
As Jordan tries to get set, Murphy tries to push him back and clinch up but Jordan manages to avoid the attempt.
Jordan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murphy moves away.
Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jordan misses with a body shot.
Jordan looks to throw the jab but Murphy is out of range.
Murphy attempts a counter takedown but Jordan avoids it well and moves away.
Josh Jordan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Murphy slips a jab from Jordan.
Nice cross by Jordan.
Jordan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Murphy counters by moving into the clinch.
Murphy swings wildly with an uppercut but Jordan uses good head movement to avoid it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Murphy.

Jordan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Murphy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jordan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jordan.

Jordan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Murphy sprawling to the canvas! Murphy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jordan finish him?!

Murphy is rocked!
Murphy walks straight into a right hand from Jordan - that's dropped him! Jordan jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Murphy from any more punishment! Murphy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Josh Jordan!
A relieved looking Josh Jordan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
