The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ice shoots for a takedown but Marua saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Marua pushes Ice up against the cage in a clinch.
Ice wants a takedown.
Marua lands an elbow just above Ice 's eye.
Marua misses with a knee to the head.
Ice looking for a takedown.

Marua is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ice defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Marua is taking a breather. Ice says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ice sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Marua counters with a big head kick but Ice shrugs it off.

Marua drives through and clinches with Ice against the cage.
Marua lands a nice elbow.

Marua jumps guard and drags Ice to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Marua has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ice off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Marua lands an elbow that stopped Ice in his tracks for a moment.

Marua gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ice regains guard.
